Proposed Changes in Diamond Bar’s General Plan

Share

For the last several months, the city of Diamond Bar has held numerous workshops and public hearings to gain the input of residents of our city on proposed revisions to the General Plan. The City Council has bent over backwards to give Diamond Bar residents an opportunity to comment on the plan revision. At every stage of the process, city staff and the consultant team have used that input to produce significant changes to the 1992 General Plan.

With the July 13 revision, the 1992 plan has been significantly changed to reflect the best interest of the majority of residents of Diamond Bar. Continuing efforts to nit-pick wording and to put in specific details about a road that may never be built is a waste of time and money.

There are some members of our community that object to any type of development in Diamond Bar. This includes schools, parks, and even room additions on residential property.

The revision is a very good plan.
