Boy Scouts of Orange County’s Pacifica District have received a $1,000 donation--winnings from a drawing held in conjunction with the Interstate Batteries Great American Race in June.
The winners, Norm Miller, president of Interstate Batteries, and Jim Boughman, president of Corporate Motor Sports, donated their top prize to the Boy Scouts. The drawing was sponsored by the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau.
Larry Crandall, chairman of Pacifica District, which serves Scouts in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, accepted the donation in a ceremony held last week.
