A 28-year-old woman who was kidnaped and beaten early Friday was listed in stable condition at an area hospital, authorities said.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who grabbed the woman from the laundry area of her apartment building on the 34000 block of Copper Lantern shortly after midnight.

In a brief interview given to investigators after the assault, the victim said she was forced into a blue car and driven to an unknown area, where the man beat her. He then returned her to the apartment complex and drove away, said Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson.
