DANA POINT : Clean Water Day to Be Celebrated
Ocean environmental awareness will be promoted during a Clean Water Day celebration being sponsored by a local surfer group on Saturday.
Organizers of the event are asking people interested in learning more about keeping the area’s salt water clean to show up at Doheny State Beach at 10 a.m.
The Doheny Longboard Surfing Assn. will have an information table set up on the beach. The day’s events will begin with a “paddle out” into the ocean in front of San Juan Creek.
Volunteers are also being sought for the formation of the South Orange County Blue Water Task Force, an activity committee under the Surfrider Foundation.
For information about the event, call (714) 495-9242.
