Good Causes: When Bullock’s stages a large-scale fashion extravaganza called Passport at the Universal Amphitheatre on Oct. 12, it will be a test of how well a 10-year-old San Francisco tradition plays in Los Angeles. Passport ’93 is billed as “more than a fashion show”--a good thing since the fall fashions it features will be old news by October--punched up with special effects from the same folks who made the “Jurassic Park” dinosaurs so impressive.
Designers Kathryn Dianos, Bryon Lars and Carole Little will appear on the runway during the hourlong show, which is sponsored by Swatch, American Express, Nestle Beverage Co. and Benetton. Proceeds will go to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and AIDS Project Los Angeles. For tickets, $15 to $100, call (213) 480-3232.
