OUTLOOK The Falcons appeared to be on the verge of breaking through. They were close to qualifying for the playoffs last season, which would have been their first appearance since 1979. Now, things are chaotic. Surprisingly, Scott Strosnider resigned early this month and a new coach wasn’t hired until Tuesday--four practices into the season. Orloff will have to get up to speed quickly for the Falcons to build on last season’s success. He has the advantage of having one of the county’s top running backs in Cherrington, who can run around or over people. Cherrington gained 815 yards last season.
