MONTE NIDO : Mulholland Section to Be Resurfaced

Share

Road crews will resurface about two miles of Mulholland Highway this winter in the unincorporated Monte Nido area south of Calabasas.

The project, on the winding section of highway between Stokes Canyon and Cold Canyon roads, will force daily closure of one lane of Mulholland in each direction for about 25 days, said Los Angeles County Supervisor Ed Edelman, who represents the area.

Lanes of Wickland and Cold Canyon roads also may be closed, but traffic will be allowed in both directions at all times, Edelman said. The work is scheduled to begin in December, and bids will be considered starting Sept. 21, he said.

“This work will increase motorist safety, reduce maintenance costs and extend the service life of this road,” Edelman said.
