Tustin’s Pfetzing Wins Main Event at Speedway

Robert Pfetzing of Tustin won the four-lap handicap main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Friday nightat the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Pfetzing took the gate and was the wire-to-wire winner. Charlie Venegas of Costa Mesa finished second, Mike Faria of Apple Valley third and Shawn McConnell of Brea fourth.

Don Odom of Redondo Beach was the winner of the eight-lap handicap main event. Gary Ackroyd of Newport Beach was second, Venegas third and McConnell fourth.
