After winning Game 1 of their Roller Hockey International championship series against the Oakland Skates, the Bullfrogs will try to clinch the title tonight with a victory in Game 2 at Anaheim Arena.

If the Skates win, the teams will play a five-minute period to decide the championship. A shootout will determine the champion if the teams are tied after the five-minute period.

Led by Brad McCaughey’s three goals and one assist, the Bullfrogs defeated Oakland, 10-7, in Game 1 in front of 7,837 Friday at Anaheim Arena.

“We were down in the first half but didn’t quit,” Oakland Coach Garry Unger said. “This team is all heart.”

Oakland rallied from a four-goal deficit and closed to within one before the Bullfrogs took control with four fourth-quarter goals.

“Oakland plays a very similar style to us, and they have good ice hockey players,” Bullfrog Coach Chris McSorley said.

Doug Lawrence, the league leader in assists, Sylvain Naud and Brian Shantz lead the Skates’ attack. Victor Gervais, who has 12 points in three playoff games, leads the Bullfrogs. Tickets are available from $6-$50, with a two-for-one offer on selected seats. The opening face-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
