Bruguera, ranked No. 4 in the world, was scheduled to play against eighth-seeded Thomas Enqvist of Sweden, but rain postponed the match until this morning. That winner has to come back in the afternoon to meet Boetsch in one semifinal.

Bruguera had his opening match delayed a day by rain and his second match against Henri Leconte was interrupted by showers and power failures.
