PLACENTIA — Fullerton scored four consecutive touchdowns to beat El Dorado, 28-13, in a nonleague game Thursday night at Valencia High School.
After being shut out in the first quarter, the Indians’ ball-control offense and relentless defense stopped the Golden Hawks (1-3).
Fullerton wide receiver Keith Ginter caught a 65-yard touchdown pass from Chris Young in the second quarter, scored from one yard out in the third quarter and returned an interception 56 yards for a touchdown in the fourth.
The Indians (3-1) held the ball for more than 10 minutes in the final quarter, scoring on a 16-play, 65-yard drive, capped by a fourth-and-five pass to tackle-eligible Joel Perales with just under two minutes remaining.
Seven plays later, Ginter intercepted a pass from El Dorado quarterback Dan Rogers for the final score.
El Dorado built a 13-0 lead in the first quarter, scoring on a one-yard run by Alex Molnar. After a fumble recovery near midfield, Molnar added another one-yard run to increase the lead.
