Westlake 30, Simi Valley 29--Scott Morris made a 45-yard field goal with four seconds left, lifting the Warriors (3-1, 1-0) to a dramatic victory at Thousand Oaks High. Simi Valley (2-2, 0-1) took a 29-27 lead with 48 seconds left in the game on a Jeremie Watkins 11-yard touchdown pass to Jevon Markarian. The point-after attempt was blocked by the middle of the Westlake line. Westlake took over on its 36 and drove to Simi Valley’s 29 for the game-winning field goal. Westlake quarterback Kevin Crook completed 17 of 31 passes for 228 yards while Watkins, the Simi Valley quarterback, connected on 19 of 40 attempts for 275 yards. Morris’ game-winning field goal was his third of the night. The others covered 45 and 50 yards. Tim Wolleck, Simi Valley’s kicker, made a 55-yard field goal in the third quarter to put the Pioneers up, 17-10.
