In the October edition of Sport Magazine, Allen Barra ranks the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Steve Young of the San Francisco 49ers is ranked No. 1, and Troy Aikman of Dallas is No. 2.

Jim Everett of the Rams is ranked No. 6, ahead of Dan Marino of Miami (No. 8).

“Although Marino has been in the playoffs nearly every year, there’s every reason to believe that if their situations were reversed, Everett would have the superior numbers.

“Imagine what this guy could have done on a good team, or what he might do if Chuck Knox makes the Rams good again,” Barra wrote.
