COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Titan Women Win in Volleyball
Cal State Fullerton stopped a 20-game losing streak, which had extended over two seasons, with a victory over Davidson College of North Carolina in a nonconference women’s volleyball match Monday at Cal State Fullerton.
The Titans lost the first game, 15-11, but rallied for a 15-13, 15-10, 15-5 victory. Jennifer Lipski had 30 kills and Heidi Robertson added 18 for Cal State Fullerton (1-18). The Titans were 1-27 in 1992.
Katherine Anderson had 17 kills for Davidson (9-13).
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Chapman 1, Cal Lutheran 0--Armando Orizaba scored in the second half for host Chapman (10-3-3).
In a nonconference women’s soccer:
Cal Lutheran 3, Chapman 0--Rachel Wackerman, Jill Gallegos and Joey Allard scored for Cal Lutheran (11-3). Chapman is 7-5-2.
