In another South Coast League game:
Capistrano Valley 13, Dana Hills 3--Jake Yokota scored six goals for host Capistrano Valley (12-9, 2-1).
In the La Quinta water polo tournament:
Santa Ana Valley wins two--David Vega scored five goals in the Falcons’ 11-6 second-round victory against Santa Margarita, giving him a career school-record 228 goals. Vega broke the record of 224 set by Todd Wines from 1989 to 1992.
Vega, who also holds the school career assist record with 121, scored six goals in a 23-2 first-round victory over Rancho Alamitos.
The Falcons (13-4) took a 4-1 lead over Santa Margarita and remained in control the rest of the game.
In nonleague water polo:
Sunny Hills 12, Crescenta Valley 11--Carlo Franzia scored four goals and Eric Hyon scored three for Sunny Hills (18-6). Jason Biguy scored seven goals for visiting Crescenta Valley.
