Camarillo 26, Simi Valley 6--Host Camarillo (4-3, 2-2) held the Pioneers (3-4, 1-3) to minus-18 yards rushing in 17 attempts. Simi Valley quarterback Tim Bennett was under pressure throughout the game and completed 12 of 29 passes for 148 yards with one interception.

Camarillo tailback Robert Smith rushed for 169 yards in 22 carries and quarterback Jay Nirenberg completed 10 of 19 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Smith caught Nirenberg’s first scoring pass, a seven-yard strike in the second quarter.

Jevon Markarian rushed eight times for 28 yards and took the second-half kickoff 86 yards for Simi Valley’s only score.
