Los Alamitos Holds Firm, Beats El Dorado

Los Alamitos held El Dorado to 57 yards of total offense in a 35-0 Empire League victory Friday at Valencia High School.

It was the fifth shutout of the season for Los Alamitos (8-0, 3-0 in league), the top-ranked team in Orange County. It was also the 29th consecutive game without a loss for the Griffins.

Mike Good, a senior quarterback for Los Alamitos, had a strong game. He completed 17 of 30 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Good combined with Anthony Tucker for a 62-yard pass play for a touchdown with 35 seconds left in the first quarter, giving the Griffins a 9-0 lead.

Good and wide receiver Tony Hartley hooked up for a 15-yard scoring play with 21 seconds left in the first half as Los Alamitos went up, 18-0.

El Dorado (3-5, 1-2) had minus-15 yards rushing thanks in part to four sacks for minus-26 yards. Marc Albert, a senior linebacker, had two sacks. He also recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter.

Enrico Bozman added two second-half rushing touchdowns for Los Alamitos, which plays host to sixth-ranked Esperanza Friday at Gahr High School. Esperanza is also 3-0 in league.

Bozman, who rushed for 89 in 19 carries, scored on a 10-yard run with 27 seconds left in the third quarter to put Los Alamitos up, 28-0.

He scored from three yards out with 3:44 left to give the Griffins a 35-0 lead. Jeff Kolasa had field goals of 27 and 38 yards.
