Helping Others Was Her Way of Life
* I was privileged enough to have known Carla Silverman before her tragic illness.
She was a very wonderful person who devoted much of her life to saving the lives of animals and to easing their suffering. Most people cannot even begin to imagine the amount of time, energy and commitment that she gave to this work.
The trouble she took to make a videotape before her death showed a continuing concern for helping other people who are struggling with similar agonies, laws, and issues.
Carla Silverman did much to advance the causes of mercy and decency. She really made her life count, and now she has made her death count too.
