Forum to Offer Tips, Information
Orange County residents who lost homes or property in last week’s blazes are invited to a free public forum in Laguna Beach today about recovering from the fires.
Speakers will discuss how to file insurance claims, hire architects and contractors, correctly fill out tax forms and deal with real estate issues, said Trudy Levindofske, spokeswoman for the Orange County Bar Assn., which is organizing the event.
Legal experts will also answer questions about lost documents, planning and development, and other concerns, Levindofske said.
Those affected by the fires may also use the bar association’s lawyer referral service, which usually costs $25, for free, she said.
