** INXS, “Full Moon, Dirty Hearts,” Atlantic. This snaps INXS’ string of awful albums stretching back to the late ‘80s. The Australian pop-rockers are best when they stick to plain old hook-laden, danceable rock, which they do often enough to make this collection passable. Still, Michael Hutchence rarely summons up enough passion to make the ballads believable. His duet partners, Ray Charles and Chrissie Hynde, provide the only real gutsy singing on the album. New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
