OUTLOOK

Settling into a program that has won only one league game in the last two years, Girardin, in his first year as head coach, is convinced the Seahawks will improve on their record of a year ago. Five new starters will take the floor, led by freshman Roldan Chapple, who Girardin describes as his most skilled player on offense and a prolific rebounder. Kalb will be positioned at the shooting guard spot and is the Seahawks’ top defensive player, who sets the tone on the full-court press. Roldan’s brother, Danny, will be the main ballhandler on a team that Girardin said is full of point guards and Collins is the main threat from outside. Lippnik is another defensive role player who loves to play the full-court press. Scott Boureston left the team for personal reasons. Girardin thinks Boy’s Republic will be the team to beat in the Metro League with the Seahawks setting themselves up as a dark horse candidate. SCHEDULE
