ROUNDUP : Mountain View St. Francis Wins

Mountain View St. Francis captured its first State volleyball championship, defeating Del Mar Torrey Pines, 12-15, 15-5, 15-3, 15-4, in the Division II title match Saturday at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Gym.

Shelly Wolfe had 18 kills and Megan O’Brien 16 for St. Francis.

In Division III:

Los Gatos d. Bishop Montgomery, 15-9, 15-13, 10-15, 6-15, 15-12--Los Gatos finished 23-6 in winning its first State championship.

In Division V:

Brentwood d. Menlo Park Sacred Heart Prep, 15-13, 15-9, 15-9--Junior outside hitter Kelly Gentile led Brentwood (26-2)--in its first title appearance--with 16 kills in the Division V match.
