Jennifer Stroffe again led the Sea Kings in kills (27) and digs (35) in the five-game victory over Newport Harbor in the State Division I title match, but Coleman’s performance was no less important to the victory. Coleman, 6 feet 1, who will attend UCLA and play setter for the Bruins, had 23 kills, 20 digs, 20 assists and five blocks. She had five kills in Game 5, helping the Sea Kings win, 15-9, and take their second consecutive State title. “She was her typical all-around solid player,” Corona del Mar Coach Lance Stewart said.

* Jennifer Chey, Rosary, was named MVP of the Fullerton tournament after scoring 19 points in a 53-46 victory over Katella in the title game.

* Jessica Eggleston, Cypress, averaged 32 points and 13 rebounds as the Centurions won five of six games.

* Colleen Hudson, Brea-Olinda, scored 23 points as the Ladycats beat Lynwood, 55-40, in the title game of the Etiwanda tournament.

* Misty May, Newport Harbor, averaged 38 kills in the State Division I volleyball matches against Stockton St. Mary’s and Corona del Mar.
