In other Tournament of Champions games:

Mater Dei 69, Tustin 40--Shaun Jackson scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Mater Dei to the quarterfinal victory. Mater Dei’s Miles Simon led all scorers with 17 points. Tustin had a tough time controlling the ball; point guard Doug Gottlieb had 16 of the team’s 23 turnovers.

Playa del Rey Westchester 53, Ocean View 38--Ben Sander scored 18 points to lead Westchester to the quarterfinal victory. Kevin Johnson scored 18 points and collected eight rebounds to lead Ocean View.

In the Irvine World News Tournament:

Trabuco Hills 83, Woodbridge 67--Ryan Karnoff had 30 points and eight assists to lead Trabuco Hills (6-2). Chris Talbott led Woodbridge (4-2) with 25 points.

Trabuco Hills will play Marina in the semifinals.

Marina 51, Long Beach Jordan 46--Andy Nieto scored 21 and Eric Endsley added 15 points as Marina advanced to the semifinals to meet Trabuco Hills.

Santa Ana Valley 74, Compton 62--Olujimi Mann scored 17 points and Carlos Quezadac added 15 to lead five scorers in double figures for Santa Ana Valley (6-1) in a quarterfinal. The Falcons will play Chadwick in the semifinals.

Palos Verdes Chadwick 72, University 62--Demetrius Zeigler had a game-high 33 points and Ali Amiri added eight for University (4-2) in the second round.

La Habra 95, Pomona Garey 71--La Habra had three players score 20 or more points, led by Justin Marshall with 29, Ken Canley and Andrija Kristich each had 20 for La Habra in consolation play.

In the El Dorado tournament:

Cerritos 55, Sunny Hills 44--Ben Nicolas scored a team-high 10 points to lead Sunny Hills in the first round.

In the Sonora-Troy Cage Classic:

Sonora 73, La Serna 64--Sergio Hernandez scored 25 points and Chad Fister scored 16 points to lead Sonora (7-1) in a quarterfinal.

Troy 77, Westminster 64--Rick Parmenter had 23 points and 14 rebounds and James Hampson added 14 points, including three three-pointers, to lead Troy (6-2).

Troy will face Century in the semifinals at 8:15 p.m. tonight at Troy High School.

In Express League boys’ basketball:

Pacific Shores 64, Riverside Christian 53--Danny Chapple scored 30 points and Josh Kalb had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Pacific Shores (2-3, 1-1).

In nonleague boys’ basketball:

El Modena 58, Buena Park 33--Ryan Villmer had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Joe Moreno had 11 points for El Modena (4-5).

Orange 63, Laguna Beach 32--Pat Harris had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists for Orange (5-0).

Magnolia 52, Loara 50--Brandon Hearvey had a team-high 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Magnolia (6-2).

Mission Viejo 73, Brea-Olinda 60--Tyler Kalklosch had 24 points, including five three-pointers, and Jerry Reid made four three-pointers on his way to 20 points for Mission Viejo.
