SONORA TROY BOYS’ BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT : Corona del Mar Defeats Century in Final

Ramin Bastani scored 23 points to help Corona del Mar to a 58-43 victory over Century in the title game of the Sonora Troy boys’ basketball tournament Friday at Sonora High School.
Bastani, who was selected as the tournament’s most valuable player, also had nine rebounds.
Corona del Mar is 6-2.
In other tournament games:
Fullerton 56, Rancho Alamitos 39--Tim VanDenburg had 13 points, including three three-pointers, for Fullerton (6-4) in the fifth-place game.
La Quinta 81, Los Altos 61--Jason Gondringer scored 29 points, including seven three-pointers, to lead La Quinta in the consolation round.
Western 58, Whittier La Serna 46--Neil Hensley had 19 points and five assists and Richard Mackie added 18 points to lead Western to the victory in the consolation round.
