Man Shot to Death During Dispute

VAN NUYS — A 21-year-old Van Nuys man was shot to death during a domestic dispute at an apartment complex late Friday, police said.
A man that coroner officials identified as Hari Ayala died shortly after 9 p.m. near an apartment complex in Van Nuys on the 6900 block of Vesper Avenue. Neighbors said the body was found in the driveway.
Police identified the suspect as Ricardo Cabedo, 29, who fled the scene and has not been located, according to Officer Le Blatt of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Cabedo had been involved in a dispute with Ayala’s sister shortly before the shooting, Blatt said.
The weapon, believed to be a handgun, has not been found, Blatt said.
