Tournament MVP Tyler Ream made a three-pointer and two free throws in the final minutes Thursday to help Whittier Christian seal a 59-45 victory over Paso Robles in the championship game of the Atascadero Tournament.
Ream finished with 19 points and seven rebounds, and teammates Trevor Ream and Kwadwo Boachie also earned all-tournament honors for the Heralds (9-2).

Mission Viejo 62, Valencia 56--Tyler Kalklosch scored 21 points for Mission Viejo (6-6) in the consolation final.
San Clemente 78, Santa Maria 47--Luke Mannix had 22 points for the Tritons (9-4) in a consolation game.
In the Canyon tournament:
Magnolia 51, Saddleback 50--Thay Sisomvang made the game-winning basket with five seconds left for Magnolia (10-4) in the third-place game. Chris Bradshaw had 24 points for Saddleback (5-6).
Vista 86, Canyon 40--Adam Vandervort scored 37 points for Vista. John Werhas scored 14 points for Canyon (4-9) in the consolation final.
In the Coast Holiday Classic:
Huntington Beach 62, Long Beach Jordan 58 (OT)--Matt Malmquist’s three-pointer in overtime and Tony Gonzalez’s 27 points helped Huntington Beach advance to the finals. The Oilers will face Newport Harbor today at 5:50 p.m. for the championship.
Malmquist scored 22 points and Gonzalez was 17 of 19 from free-throw line, including a string of 16 consecutive free throws.
Newport Harbor 55, Edison 51--Juan Orellana scored 17 points, including five three-pointers, to lead Newport Harbor (8-3) in the other semifinal. Micah Kroeger scored 14 points for Edison (6-2).
In the Katella Classic:
Lake Washington (Wash.) 64, Katella 54--Tournament MVP Donald Watts scored 20 points for Lake Washington in the championship game. Nick Roditis had a game-high 26 points, including five three-pointers for Katella (9-3).
Western 59, Savanna 46--Neil Hensley and Paul Lyndemeyer scored 19 and 10 points for Western (9-6) in the third-place game.
In the Las Vegas Eldorado tournament:
Santa Margarita 74, El Dorado 65--Brad Finneran scored 27 points and had six rebounds for Santa Margarita (8-4), which finished second among the out-of-state teams in the eight-team round robin tournament.
In the Reebok Above the Rim Classic:
Las Vegas Bonanza 58, Ocean View 44--Dan McDonald had 18 points for Ocean View (4-7).
At the St. Francis Holiday Tournament:
University 69, San Luis Obispo 66--All-tournament selection Demitrius Zeigler had 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trojans to a third-place finish.
In the Walter Wong Tournament:
La Quinta 61, Hawaii Moanalua 49--Greg Greenfield had 24 points, including seven straight free throws in the fourth quarter, for La Quinta (6-5) in a consolation game.
