Northridge Ends Losing Streak
Chris Yard scored a career-high 30 points and Shawn Stone grabbed 15 rebounds Tuesday as Cal State Northridge ended a six-game losing streak with a 90-72 victory over Buffalo in a nonconference game at Northridge.
Yard, a 6-6 senior forward, scored 19 points in the second half, including eight in the last 4:19.
Northridge (2-10) had a 49-41 edge in rebounding, the first time this season the Matadors have outrebounded an opponent.
Brooklyn McLinn made four of six three-point shots on his way to 16 points. The senior guard has made 26 of 49 three-point attempts in his last nine games.
Myron Banks and Lou Johnson each scored 19 points for Buffalo (4-8).
