Community Colleges
* Apparently, enrollment in state community colleges is down 9% (Dec. 23).
After several attempts to enroll myself and my wife in two emeritus classes at Saddleback College (totaling about a day--half standing in lines at the campus and another half with automated telephone registration), I gave up. The hurdles and bureaucracy were overwhelming.
I admire those students who persist--my interests were thwarted by the system.
