Itow had been struggling with her outside shooting. She had made only six of 34 shots in the final two games of the Fullerton tournament. But when Golden West started Orange Empire Conference play at Riverside last Wednesday, Itow improved dramatically. She made seven of 16 shots and finished with 17 points and nine rebounds as the Rustlers won, 56-49. Friday, she had her first collegiate triple-double as Golden West beat Rancho Santiago, 103-65. She had 15 points and career highs in rebounds (12) and assists (10).
Other notables:
* Jennifer Johnson of Cypress scored 34 points in two games, including 18 to help the Chargers beat Rancho Santiago, 81-38.
