A Tough Stand

Share

The Parent, Teacher, Student Assn. at Esperanza High School in Anaheim says it is alarmed at the growing number of alcohol and drug-related parties that students apparently are attending at homes in Yorba Linda, Placentia and northeast Anaheim.

As a result, the PTSA has passed a resolution urging local law enforcement agencies to make it a policy to notify homeowners when police become aware that a party involving alcohol and minors has occurred in the home. The group is also urging all parents to take a zero tolerance stand against alcohol or drug use by Esperanza students and has called on all local merchants who sell alcoholic beverages to demand proof of age to reduce the potential for purchase by minors.
