Three men took a gray 1985 Chevrolet Camaro from a Westminster man at gunpoint Tuesday, leaving the vehicle’s owner unharmed, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.

The car’s owner, Benito Ruiz Hernandez, 28, told police that he was approached by the three men as he was walking to the car, which was parked in the 8900 block of Tina Way, about 8 p.m., said Lt. Dan Martini of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

When the carjackers demanded his car and keys, Hernandez complied, Martini said.

The vehicle, which is still missing, was last seen heading south on Magnolia Street, Martini said. The car’s license plate number was not released.
