PREP ROUNDUP : Tustin Reaches Playoffs Again

The Tustin girls’ basketball team qualified for the playoffs for the 21st consecutive season, clinching a spot with a 57-43 victory over University in a Sea View League game Wednesday at Tustin High.

Sarah Davis had 18 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists and six steals, Erin Oakley had 12 points and Alison Carr had three points and 10 rebounds for the Tillers (15-8, 7-4 in league).

Mary Medina and Jennifer Stanley each finished with 12 points for University (11-8, 5-6).

In another Sea View League game:

Woodbridge 95, Irvine 38--Freshman reserve Carly Maas scored 13 points for second-ranked Woodbridge (22-0, 11-0). Angela Burgess had a game-high 18 points for the Warriors, who led, 56-21, at the half.

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 65, Kennedy 35--Michol Murray had 30 points, 15 rebounds and eight steals for Garden Grove. Janine Shaw added 10 points for the Argonauts (8-12, 6-5). Erryn Gutjahr scored 10 for Kennedy (15-8, 8-3).

La Quinta 67, Los Amigos 26--Linda Rodriguez had 29 points, including eight three-pointers, and 11 rebounds for 10th-ranked La Quinta (17-4, 11-0). Rhonda Gondringer added 19 for the Aztecs.

Rancho Alamitos 60, Pacifica 54--Janet Neuman and Michelle Frank each scored 14 points for Rancho Alamitos (16-6, 10-1).
