VAN NUYS : Pizza Delivery Driver Finds Body in Home
The body of a 46-year-old man was found inside his Van Nuys home by a pizza delivery driver, Los Angeles police said Tuesday.
Charles Colman was found Monday night in his home in the 14000 block of Bessemer Street with a single gunshot wound to the upper body, said Lt. Richard Blankenship, acting commander of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys homicide unit.
A neighbor told police that about noon Monday, Colman had a loud argument with a man inside the house, Blankenship said. The neighbor, whom police did not identify, also told investigators that a noise that might have been a gunshot was heard coming from the house about that time, Blankenship said.
Colman’s body was discovered about 7 p.m. when a pizza delivery driver mistakenly went to the victim’s house with a pizza, police said.
