SANTA ANA : Reception to Raise Scholarship Money
The Hispanic Education Endowment Fund will hold a reception Friday honoring the work of the late labor leader, Cesar Chavez, in an effort to help raise $100,000 in scholarship money.
“We’re trying to get the Hispanic community mobilized to raise enough seed money so local corporations can help us out,” said John Reza, a spokesman for the endowment fund.
The reception will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art. A minimum $25 donation per person is requested, Reza said.
