3.4 Earthquake Rattles Palm Springs Area
A 3.4-magnitude earthquake shook the desert about 30 miles southwest of Palm Springs on Sunday evening, Caltech seismologists said.
The 8:25 p.m. temblor was not an aftershock of either the Northridge or Big Bear earthquakes, according to Caltech seismologist Kathy Willis.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
