FULLERTON : Seminar to Explore ‘Power of Parents’
Parents of public school students are invited to a free seminar intended to provide insight into the world of children, sharpen parental skills and build a network of parents in the community.
“The Power of Parents” will be the theme for the conference April 16 from 8 a.m. to noon at Fullerton High, 201 E. Chapman Ave. It is sponsored by Community United for Fullerton Safety, Fullerton High and the Coalition for Children, Adolescents and Parents.
Included in the seminar will be discussions on setting rules, gangs and “understanding the teen years.” The Fullerton High School International Dancers will perform along with music students from Nicolas Junior High. Kiki Zuniga, a bilingual counselor from Fullerton Junior College, will be the keynote speaker.
There will be workshops in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
