More than 1,000 children and parents are expected to attend the 20th annual Anaheim Children’s Festival on Saturday.
Designed to introduce children to the arts, the event features musical performances, street chalk drawing, art instruction, storytelling and dance.
Headlining this year’s event are two free performances of “Dances Around the World” by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, featuring works by composers such as Brahms, Tchaikovsky and Bartok.
The concerts will be at 10 and 11:15 a.m. at Anaheim’s Celebrity Theatre, 201 E. Broadway.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held at the Koll Anaheim Center, at West Harbor Place and Anaheim Boulevard.
The event is sponsored by the Leo Freedman Foundation in cooperation with the Anaheim Arts Council, the city of Anaheim and the Anaheim Museum.
