POMONA : Warning Issued on College Solicitors
Officials at Mt. San Antonio College are warning the community about door-to-door solicitors claiming to be raising money for athletic programs at the school.
According to the college, solicitors for American Sports Center, who are not connected with the college, have been fund-raising in the Upland/Ontario area, outside of Mt. SAC’s district. Although the group has a permit to solicit funds, it does not apply to Mt. SAC because it is illegal for that college to solicit money in another college’s district.
