Man Critically Hurt as Pickup Hits Tree
A 43-year-old Corona man was critically injured Tuesday when his pickup crashed into a tree during a heavy rain and hailstorm, police said.
The man, whose identity is being withheld, was found by paramedics on Santa Ana Canyon Road east of Fairmont Boulevard. He was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was admitted to the hospital’s Critical Care Unit in extremely critical condition with head injuries.
Investigators said the man’s truck apparently left the road and hit a tree in the median. Police asked that anyone who witnessed the accident call Sgt. Richard Buchholz at (714) 254-1861.
