In his second NBA season, Golden State guard Latrell Sprewell was named to the All-NBA team. He joins Chicago’s Scottie Pippen, Houston’s Hakeem Olajuwon, and the Utah pair of Karl Malone and John Stockton on the team selected by sportswriters and broadcasters.
Selected to the second team were San Antonio’s David Robinson, Seattle’s Shawn Kemp, Sacramento’s Mitch Richmond and the Phoenix pair of Charles Barkley and Kevin Johnson. Shaquille O’Neal of Orlando headed the third team.
Net guard Kenny Anderson will have a screw put into his broken left wrist and is expected to be ready for training camp next fall. Anderson broke the wrist in February of 1993, then re-broke it in December. A third break was discovered Tuesday when he complained the wrist hurt during the playoffs.
