Crenshaw 5, Dorsey 0--Crenshaw’s Juan Arita pitched a three-hit shutout Thursday at home while striking out seven as the Cougars clinched their second straight Southern League championship.
Crenshaw jumped ahead 3-0 in the first inning on a two-run triple by catcher Todd Moore, who eventually scored on a throwing error by third baseman Alberto Alvarez.
The Cougars added another unearned run in the fourth, when Aaron Young scored from second on a pair of throwing errors.
In the fifth, Crenshaw left fielder Mike McNeely’s sacrifice fly drove in Kenrick Sanderlin.
