2 Slain in Drive-By Shooting
Two 18-year-old men were killed in a drive-by shooting Monday when they stopped their gray Cadillac at a traffic light in Altadena, police said.
The two victims, whose names were not released pending notification of relatives, were shot by at least one of three occupants of a green Cadillac that pulled alongside them about 3 p.m. at Lake Avenue and New York Drive, Sheriff’s Lt. Ray Peavy said.
One of the victims stumbled out of the car and staggered about 20 feet to the curb, where he collapsed, witnesses said. The driver managed to drive the car through the intersection, Peavy said.
Both men were taken to nearby hospitals where they died. Peavy said he did not know whether the shooting was gang-related.
