In the Midwest II Regional at Wichita, Kan., Washington (46-17) defeated Georgia Tech (46-16) in 14 innings, 12-9, and the teams played again Monday night to decide the title.

Antone Williamson singled home the winning run in the 10th inning after Arizona State got two home runs from tournament MVP Todd Cady in a 5-4 victory over Tennessee in the Mideast Regional title at Knoxville, Tenn.

The victory earned the Sun Devils (43-16) a berth in the College World Series, which starts Friday at Omaha. Tennessee (52-14) forced extra innings when Todd Helton hit a grand slam with two out in the eighth.

Damon Minor and Rich Hills each drove in two runs to carry Oklahoma to a 6-3 victory over Texas at Austin, Tex., giving the Sooners the Central Regional championship.

Mark Redman won his second game of the regional as top-seeded Oklahoma (46-17) earned its ninth trip to the Series. The third-seeded Longhorns finished the season 43-21, marking their most losses in 27 seasons under Coach Cliff Gustafson. Earlier this season, Gustafson became college baseball’s all-time winningest coach.

Miami hit four homers, including a contested shot by Alex Miranda that tied the game, and went on to defeat Florida, 10-6, at Miami.

The top-seeded Hurricanes (48-12), swept through the Atlantic I Regional, winning four games by a combined 42-14 score. Miami has played host to 12 regionals, winning 10, and is headed for its 13th Series. Florida finished 40-23.

A three-run homer by tournament MVP Mike Martin Jr. broke open a close game in the fifth inning, and Florida State beat Brigham Young, 7-1, at Tallahassee, Fla.

The Atlantic II Regional title gave the Seminoles (52-20) a berth in the Series for the sixth time in nine years. BYU finished 37-20.
