A 42-year-old Simi Valley man died of traumatic head and chest injuries after a collision in which a pickup truck pulled out in front of his motorcycle, authorities said Monday.

Bruce Page was pronounced dead at Ventura County Medical Center at 9:58 p.m. Sunday, about 9 1/2 hours after the accident on California 126 in Fillmore, Deputy Coroner Mitch Breese said.

Sheriff’s investigators on Monday said driver Ivan Campos, 18, of Fillmore, could be cited for vehicular manslaughter. The Ventura County district attorney’s office will decide whether to prosecute Campos, Sheriff’s Deputy Jerry Peterson said.

Campos was trying to turn left from Mountain View Street onto State 126 and crashed into Page, who was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle west at about 45 m.p.h. Peterson said Page did not have time to brake.

Page flew over the truck hood and landed about 20 feet away, Peterson said. He was wearing a half-helmet at the time of the accident, authorities said.

Page, who was a supervisor at the food manufacturer H.J. Heinz Co., is survived by his parents, wife, two sons and two daughters.
