Southern California College has hired two assistant basketball coaches, Tim Travers and Todd Dixon. Travers had been the head basketball coach at El Toro High for the last 14 years, where compiled a 175-172 record. Travers, who resigned his coaching job at El Toro two months ago, will continue to teach history at the school.

“This is something I wasn’t anticipating,” Travers said. “It came along and I’m really excited. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Dixon, who played at SCC and graduated from there in 1988, had been an assistant coach at Santa Margarita High the past five years.
