*** Aphex Twin, “Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2,” Sire/Warp. You can’t really dance or even tap your foot to the minimal purr created by Richard James, a.k.a. Aphex Twin, who has modified the sound he originally honed in London’s underground rave parties. There’s no real focal point on this two-disc set, but instead an all-surrounding sea of synthesized moods.
