Two men were shot to death and two others wounded in separate incidents here Sunday.

Heriberto Carachure, 28, of Santa Ana, was killed by a suspected gang member while driving his car south in the 400 block of Orange Avenue, authorities said. Another man, whom police declined to identify late Sunday, was killed by security guards at a local bar after a brawl in which he allegedly shot two other patrons.

The brawl took place at Los Cristales Bar, 1638 S. Standard St.

According to police, it started with an argument between two patrons about 2 a.m. Sunday. After leaving to get a gun, according to Sgt. John Follow, one patron returned to the bar’s parking lot where he shot the man he had argued with and then fired at a crowd of onlookers, wounding one person in the neck.

The unidentified man with the gun was then shot to death by security guards employed by the bar, according to Follow. The two patrons he reportedly shot, the police spokesman said, were taken to unidentified hospitals where they were reported in stable condition.

Follow said witnesses saw the suspect running from the scene with a gun in his hand after hearing about six shots.
