Gonzalez Has Strained Ligament
Tony Gonzalez, the two-sport star from Huntington Beach who was injured in the first quarter of the 35th Orange County North-South all-star football game Friday night, has a strained anterior cruciate ligament.
Gonzalez, who is headed to California to play basketball and football, was expected to start football practice with the rest of the Cal freshmen Aug. 6, but instead will probably wait until the middle or late August to begin practice.
