Italy has already won this World Cup--at least the software version.

A World Cup simulation--FIFA International Soccer--was played this week and Italy defeated Brazil, 1-0, after 86 minutes without a goal.

Showing that video games are as fallible as, well, sportswriters, the other semifinalists were Germany and Spain.

The game was developed by EA Sports, an entertainment and educational San Mateo-based company.
